I rarely write reviews and I did not get paid for this one . No promotions either.This is an exceptionally well made aluminum laptop pad . I use this with a Thinkpad workstation which heats up quite a bit . I have another product which is a solid piece of aluminum heavy and well made. But this one cools way better. This provides enough cooling that my laptop runs cool throughout the day . I rarely hear the fans kick in since I started using it . I did not buy the version with fans because I always have the option to throw in noctua fans in this design. My 15.6 behemoth laptop sits nicely sides stick out a little . But the laptop stays put on the rubber pads . The position is fixed but I found it very comfortable. I have wrist pain and use egronomic mouse and keyboard. But with this pad I don't have problem using the laptops keyboard . Viewing angle is great. The best part this is light and I can carry it around the house . I wish this was modular and lay flat sometimes. But no complaints . The design is excellent no sharp edges to cut you .The only problem I see is over the years the rubber pads may degrade . But I think it will be a while . It also may not be as resilient to abuse . Since it's thin and light . But it does it's job and I don't plan to do destructive testing on it .
