At Computer Mania, we believe technology should do more than entertain - it should empower. That's why we were honoured to donate a PlayStation VR headset and controller to 9-year-old Joshua, a bright, rugby-loving gamer with a passion for Mathematics and an even bigger passion for life.
Joshua lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare condition that limits his physical strength and energy. Despite this, his curiosity and determination shine through. He's the kind of kid who taught himself his times tables at age four, idolises Siya Kolisi, and dreams of playing professional rugby one day. Gaming has become Joshua's way of exploring worlds and challenges without the physical strain that everyday activities place on his body, giving him a sense of achievement entirely on his own terms.
We met Joshua and his family this morning at Smile FM, and handing over his PlayStation VR was a moment we won't forget. With it, he can dive into new adventures, challenge his mind, and simply be a kid who loves to play.
This donation is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. We believe small acts of kindness, paired with the right technology, can make a real difference in someone's life.
