The HyperX Origins 2 1800 is a wired mechanical gaming keyboard built around a customisable, tool-swappable platform. It uses a 1800-style layout that keeps a full number pad while trimming the surrounding desk footprint, giving you room for mouse movement without losing dedicated number keys. Hot-swap sockets let you change switches and keycaps without soldering, and a simple 8-screw housing lets you swap the frame itself when you want a different look. It ships with HyperX Linear Red switches for a smooth, uninterrupted keypress, and communicates input to your PC at up to 8000 times per second. An O-ring mount, a removable silicon weight and plate-mounted stabilisers work together to steady each keystroke and deepen its sound. It is well suited to gamers and typists who want a keyboard they can tune, rebuild and personalise over time.
