The SanDisk Optimus 5100 is an internal NVMe solid state drive in the slim M.2 2280 form factor, connecting over a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. This 2TB model delivers sequential read speeds of up to 7,100MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,700MB/s, the highest read speed available in the Optimus 5100 range, so applications launch quickly and large file copies complete faster. It gives a laptop or desktop PC more room for 4K videos and high resolution images, and the slim form factor makes it a practical upgrade for compatible laptops or a secondary high capacity addition to a desktop build. The drive is built on 8th generation SanDisk BiCS QLC 3D CBA NAND with integrated SanDisk nCache 4.0 technology, and SanDisk positions it for video editing and productivity workloads.
