The Xbox Wireless Controller in the Gears of War: E-Day Limited Edition is a special-edition controller inspired by Emergence Day, when the Locust Horde invades the planet Sera from below. It keeps the familiar Xbox controller layout and adds a themed design for fans of the series.

The 3D-molded, laser-etched surface has red glowing cracks that look like the eruption of an E-hole, with the Crimson Omen at the centre. The ABXY buttons are blacked out with a transparent red X button, and the triggers and D-pad are transparent red. A crimson red Xbox button matches the theme, and COG tags are printed on the battery door. Rubberized, black leather-look grips on the back and sides help you hold on during long sessions.

The controller connects with Xbox Wireless or Bluetooth, so it works with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11 PCs, Android and iOS devices, in games that support controllers. You can also use it to play on the cloud with a supported device and an Xbox Game Pass subscription, both sold separately.

The Xbox Accessories app lets you remap buttons on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows 10/11. On Windows the app needs a compatible USB-C cable, which is sold separately.
